The natural grotto of the Baths of Aphrodite, and its botanical garden, can be found past the fishing harbour of Latsi, and towards the tip of the Akamas Peninsula. Shaded by an old fig tree, amidst lush greenery, legend tells that the Ancient Greek Goddess Aphrodite used to bathe in the waters.

Saint Neophytoswas the founder of the monastery in 1159. He lived there and died in 1219 at the age of 85. The main church of the monastery was built around 200 years after his death and is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. A famous painter, Theodoros Apsevdis, undertook to paint the frescoes in the Enkleistra (the cave with the cell of Saint Neophytos). You can also see Byzantine icons of exceptional artistic quality in the main church of the monastery and also visit the museum of the monastery, which has exhibits from both the ancient period and Byzantine period.

A large necropolis lying two kilometres north of Paphos harbour. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The underground tombs, many of which date back to the 4^th century BC, are carved out of solid rock, and are thought to have been the burial sites of Paphitic aristocrats and high officials up to the third century AD (the name comes from the magnificence of the tombs; no kings were in fact buried here).

Within the city walls of Nicosia, the museum contains the richest and most representative collection of Byzantine art on the island. The collection includes many icons dating from the 12^th century when iconography was at its height. Among the star attractions are the famous 6^th century mosaics torn from the church of Kanakaria in the occupied area, sold abroad and later repatriated.

Agios Ioannis Cathedral in Nicosia within the old city walls is built on the site of the 14^th century chapel of the Benedictine Abbey of Agios Ioannis the Evangelist of Bibi. Archbishop Nikiforos rebuilt the monastery in 1662 and is dedicated to Agios Ioannis (Saint John) the Theologian.

A traditional neighbourhood in the pedestrian area of the walled city of Nicosia, opposite to the D’Avila bastion, 0.3 km from the Eleftheria square. The buildings date from the end of the 18^th Century, with building materials being mainly wood, sandstone and mudbrick.

The first archaeological Museum of Lefkosia (Nicosia) was housed in a building on Victoria St. in old Lefkosia, in the occupied part of the town. It was founded in 1888 as a privately-run institution to protect the finds that started to come to light during the first legal excavations undertaken during the British rule of the island.

The monastery is located at a beautiful location near the Panagia village, west of Paphos forest. It was founded in 1152 AD by the monk Ignatios who found the miracle icon of the Virgin Mary in the area of Moulia in Paphos. The monastery’s buildings are dated from 1770 and have an important collection of icons and treasures.

The Archeological Collection of the Pierides Museum – Bank of Cyprus Cultural Foundation consists of about 2500 Cypriot antiquities. This private collection, which was initially started by Demetrios Pierides in 1839, was protected and systematically enriched through the years by five consecutive generations of the family. The collection was housed in the colonial style family mansion, built in 1815, where it is still exhibited. The visitor is offered the opportunity to travel through 9000 years of Cypriot culture, starting from the Neolithic Period, to the Chalcolithic Period, the Geometric, Archaic, Classical, Hellenistic and Roman Periods and lastly the Byzantine-Medieval Period. In addition, the museum houses an exemplary collection of original old maps of Cyprus and te Eastern Mediterranean, part of the Ethnographic Collection of Folk Cypriot Art, as well as a rare collection of Hellenistic and Roman glassware.

The Church of Saint Lazarus, is a late-9^th century church in Larnaca, Cyprus. It belongs to the Church of Cyprus, an autocephalous Greek Orthodox Church and is named for New Testament figure Lazarus of Bethany, the subject of a miracle recounted in the Gospel of John, in which Jesus raises him from the dead.

According to one legend, this rock is the site of the birth of the goddess Aphrodite, perhaps owing to the foaming waters around the rock fragments, and for this reason it is known as Aphrodite’s Rock. It is situated near to Paphos, and can be seen from the Limassol – Paphos highway.

It is a Greek Orthodox monastery which stands on the top of a mountain called Stavrovouni in Cyprus. The monastery is one of the few places where one can see a piece of the Holly Cross. The Stavrovouni monastery was founded by Saint Helena in around 327-329 AD and therefore, it is one of the oldest monasteries around the world. It is located on the peak of the mountain of the same name (Stavrovouni) in the District of Larnaca.

The village is located about 42 km north-west of the city of Limassol, in the geographical region of the wine-making villages. A festival is held every August and there is a large religious fair on the 14^th of September. In the monastery of Omodos, devoted to the Holly Cross (“Timios Stavros”) one can find one piece of the Holly Cross in Cyprus.

This is where the Cypriot folk needlecraft art is born – the famous “lefkaritiko” – whose reputation has gone beyond the frontiers of Cyprus and has become known to most European countries but not only there. Lefkara owes its welfare and prosperity to this needlecraft art and to its trade launched in the late 19^th century. The village is situated at the foot of the Troodos Mountains in the south eastern region, 650m above sea level, 45 km from Nicosia, 30 km from the Larnaca airport and just 12 km from the Nicosia – Limassol highway.

Kourion was an ancient city on the southwestern coast of Cyprus, the surrounding Kouris River Valley being occupied from at least the Ceramic Neolithic period (4500-3800 BCE) to the present. The acropolis of Kourion, located 1.3 km southwest of Episkopi and 13 km west of Limassol, is located atop a limestone promontory nearly one hundred meters in height along the coast of Episkopi Bay.

Choirokitia (sometimes spelled Khirokitia) is an archeological site on the island of Cyprus dating from the Neolithic age. It has been listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1998. The site is known as one of the most important and best preserved prehistoric sites of the eastern Mediterranean.
